Hi, my name is Olivier Habimana, an enthusiastic microbiologist, with extensive research experience and expert knowledge of bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation on surfaces.

Acknowledged as a highly focused and committed professional, I have had the opportunity to conduct advanced investigations into biofouling phenomena on nanofiltration membranes, as well as biofilm formation and response of microbial contaminants to stresses imposed by food processing environments.

With now over 10 years of specialized academic learning and professional experience, I look forward to using my knowledge to guide and advise Post-/graduate students, technical support staff and fellow researchers, and together, produce exciting microbiology research at the forefront of an overarching technological revolution!

Research areas of interest: Food Microbiology / Food Safety, Biofilms, Biofouling, Microbial Ecology, Bioadhesion, Antifouling Biomimetic Surfaces, and Antibiofilm Treatment Strategies.
